Putin: Russia’s robot making fails to meet economy requirements

MOSCOW, Dec 19 (PRIME) – Russian robot mmanufacturing is not developed to meet economic requirements, and the spheres of their use need elaboration, President Vladimir Putin said late on Monday.

“Unfortunately, we do not have it developed as the life requires it, as the economy and the material sphere of production require it. If compared with South Korea, if I am not mistaken, we have 10 robots per 10,000 people, while there they have 20 times more per 10,000 people, if not more than by 20 times,” Putin said.

“This is why we should search for the spheres of use. I will certainly speak with the colleagues about it, with those who actively work in this direction.”

The president added that it is needed in many industrues, including delivery and carriage, in particular of hazardous cargo.
